Tayan road will be asphalt next April

Tayan road is the road that connects with the Trans Borneo road with 31.5 kilometers long taken from Pontianak but until now has not it all be asphalt,so during the rainy season
the roads will be very difficult to pass by large vehicles such as trucks and buses. Time and distance to Tayan will cut and reduce from usual route to Tayan will need more 5 hours taken by bus from Pontianak. If the road have been asphalted we only need about 3 hours to reach Tayan from Pontianak by public vehicles like bus and less than 2 hours for using private cars.
All Borneo governors are very excited to be able to complete the construction of trans-Kalimantan roads included Tayan road that will connect West Kalimantan to Central Kalimantan - East Kalimantan and then South Kalimantan.
Public Works Department of West Kalimantan plans in early April 2010 will start asphalting the Tayan road and if no obstacle will be inaugurated by the Minister of Public Works Djoko Kirmanto and Australian Ambassador Bill Farmer, as well as all Kalimantan Governors will also attend the inauguration ceremony.
Australian Ambassador's presence at the event will not be separated from the state's role in providing the grant funds worth Rp.131 billion. Once finalized Tayan road will follow by construction is expected to be realized for Tayan Bridge which in terms of design does look greater in technology than the Kapuas Bridge I and II in Pontianak
