Sambas assign Carbon trading with Australia

Sambas, West Kalimantan - Sambas Regency has partnered with the Australian state in carbon trading deals worth IDR 200 billion per year
and the signing of the agreement made by Regent Sambas Burhanudin A. Rashid with representatives from Australia's Charles Jackson as Chief Operation Officer of Strategic Carbon on Wednesday ( 24.03.2010) ago in Jakarta.
Through this Memorandum of Understanding Sambas district must  provide an area of 200,000 hectares of forest. By admin eNews-blog what has been done by the Sambas district government is a very bold step, but also appropriate and should be emulated by other districts in West Kalimantan such as Sanggau,Ketapang, and Kapuas Hulu.
West Kalimantan that position as the world's lungs can be expected in the midst of global warming and climate change the uncertain and liable to extremes.
Said to be very brave by eNews-blog because the local government and central government is no exception so idolized the expansion of oil palm plantation development which has basically sacrificed a lot of forest areas by doing over the functions of forests.enews-blog
